Connecticut Prison Greyhounds, a registered 501(C)(3) not for profit organization, formed in 2016, to train greyhounds for adoption groups to place in loving homes!

Our mission statement

Connecticut Prison Greyhounds, is a not-for-profit organization that has partnered with the Connecticut Department of Correction, to provide a program within correctional facilities with the purpose of training, socializing and preparing newly retired greyhounds for placement in forever homes. The program provides inmate handlers with vocational training, as well as teaches them life skills such as teamwork and responsibility, while providing them with the opportunity to give back to the community in a positive manner.
